Pattern for Bendik hat 

I love to knit hats / beanies and also to wear them. The long rib, is just perfect for those cold days. And the structur pattern is easy to knit. Bendik hat is worked bottom up. The needle size is just a reference. The hat here is worked with double thread, 1 thread Isager Merilin and 1 thread Silk Mohair. The rib here is worked long, then you can fold bottom edge up to desired length. 

The Bendik hat is perfect together with the Noora cowl. 

Yarn and yarn amount: 50 g ISAGER Merilin (80 % wool, 20 % linen - 208 m / 50 g) and 25 g ISAGER Silk Mohair (75 % kid mohair and 25 % silke, 212 m / 25 g). 

Recommended needle size: 5 mm and 4,5 mm. Circular needles 40 cm or Magic Loop. The needle is just a reference

Head circumference approx. One size 50 cm / 58 cm. Height approx. 30 cm with rib folding down. All measurments were taken flat. Bendik hat is stretchy due the knitting technique.

Gauge:

28 sts in structure pattern on needle 5 mm = 10 cm

26 sts k1, p1 on needle 4,5 mm = 10 cm

The needle size is just a reference. Use the needle size with which you obtain the indicated gauge swatch. 

Note that these measurements only apply if the correct gauge is maintained throughout. Measure yourself before beginning your project, to determine which size will fit you the best.
